The external chassis incorporates a textured grip pattern and is produced in Blue, Pink, Dark Blue, and a Best Buy-exclusive Transparent Black. Structural updates include wear-resistant metal rings surrounding the joystick housings to mitigate friction, alongside a recalibrated D-pad and standard bumpers designed for a tactile, shorter-travel actuation. The controller also integrates non-linear digital triggers and introduces two extra remappable shoulder inputs, designated as L4 and R4 Fast Bumpers, which allow for localized hardware mapping without the use of external software.
